Michael Jekot
BIO:
Michael Jekot recalls encountering his first sports car in 1957. It was a rainy evening and the car was a dark colored Porsche Speedster. As his work has evolved Jekot has found that the key to a successful project is based in full research and, if possible, active detailed questioning, the time spent learning to know the subject translates to an understanding allowing for the creation of a more meaningful image.
Published in Christophorus Magazine, Vintage Race Car Magazine and is a regular cover artist contributor to PML Magazine. Several book covers have also be created for publishers of different subjects. Jekot was also founder and curator for the worlds largest transportation art exhibit in July 2008 titled Velocity: the Art of Motion at the Hopkins Center for the Arts, Hopkins Minnesota. Commissions are accepted for creative work. Paintings on canvas, watercolor and illustration, event poster art.
